I pulled the court video for the police the other night. I saw MANY judgement errors made while she was in custody. It's a shame when things like this happen. The officer wasn't paying attention to her while she sat in the lobby, turning his back to her most of the time. (While she sat right next to the door!) Then he placed her in the courtroom with the door closed. As soon as the door closed, she went out the other door inside the courtroom. At one point on the video, he even went as far as to allow the prisoner to walk right up to him, firearm easily accessible to her. I wish the officer well, but if they keep him on the force, he's going to need some serious re-training!!! Just to keep himself and others safe when he transports.
As for the video, I will not share that. The police investigators have the only copy outside the court. I deleted my copy as soon as they received theirs.
I don't have knowledge on the escape from the car other than she was hot and asked them to roll the window down a little. Now I don't know about their cars, but I know my truck, if the doors are locked, you can't open them in the back at all. She reached outside the car and opened the door, which suggests to me they didn't lock it... Again, transport 101. What would have been done if she had been injured or worse...killed? Or she got away and killed someone else accidentally? These are all things we all think about daily. Just my 2 cents on it.
