Interesting, there are no topics here from humans, just bots.
Anyway, how does police fight terrorism?
Does it mean spying on everyone, making everyone a suspect while letting the big fish go away?

That's exactly it. I say we, as a forums, give our bid to Speed for Homeland Security Lead.

I don't think i'll get the chance to be in charge of security, but if i was i would give the death sentence to rapists and murderes (that way we save tax dollars that are used in jails), and we reroute that money to put more officers on the borders so we don't get illegals.

With someone so negative towards police officers, you sure want to give us more jobs. Thanks speed. I think deep down inside he LOVES police officers and wants to see us with job security. Thank you speed, I really mean that.

Patriot Act.
Breacher
08-17-2007, 04:23 PM
So because of the Patriot Act you think that all the police do is spy on people and let the big fish go away?
speed
08-17-2007, 04:26 PM
Not ALL the police, but Some Police.
Why should they spy randomly on people without a court order?

So this is unreasonable to you?

Can you please explain WIRE interception?
Do you guys include Bank, Phone, Credit Card in Wire Interception?

Also, were you here in the US on Sept. 11th, 2001?

Yes, it can be. I think you need to reread the Patriot Act.

Italy seems to be short on history that includes terrorists running huge planes into their towers.
We like to keep our citizens safe. They will not just randomly 'spy' on anybody just to spy on them. They have to have some sort of reason. Could it be something simple? Well, I hate to tell you, and everyone else, but our administration, when it comes to the lives our people, then having a handful of citizens pissed at 'policy' it's all in the bag. I could care less if half or even the entire country is 'inconvienced' or feels 'vulnerable' by certain laws we have. They are put in place to protect our people. A nation who does not protect it's citizens as it's most important objective, has missed the point, severely.
Ironically, the same laws that protect us, protect you, while in our country. So as much as you do or don't like it, our country is actively making sure you don't die from terrorist attack. You can be as ungrateful as you want, just as people are ungrateful with police officers. Point blank... we don't care. We will continue to do what we know is right to protect your freedom to b**** and complain about how this or this is unfair, boo hoo hoo. Trust me, your a small fry, the country doens't give two s*its about your credit history or your phone calls. It's busy taking steps to insure your safety, not worrying about erotic phone calls to your boyfriend.

You seem very defensive (just like everyone else here) without even knowing me personally.
To protect a country is a noble thing.
To do 'dirty bussines' in the name of protection is shameful.

Breacher, you have to read something, to be able to re-read it. He is exactly like all the other wanna be revolutionaries in our country. They think they know the law and want to fight for certain rights, even when they have no idea what their rights are. They hear someone else's propaganda or watch 'Loose Change' or 'Fahrenheit 9/11' and think they are then the ipso facto resource on American law or our civil rights.

When have I spyed on anyone?
Breacher, you ever spy'd on anyone. You ever tapped someones phone out of randomness? I sure haven't.
Your talking to Cops, who enforce laws, when you should be complaining to those who make the laws.
Executive = Cops
Legislative = Congress Persons
Judiciary = interpret the laws
It's not random spying. Everytime someone is spyd on, it's for a reason one way or another. The government doesn't have the time or the money to spend money for people to survail someone or some persons for the hell of it. The CIA does not need your recipe for Muffin Crunch.

Look xenif, again you take this personally. I'm not saying that any of you here is spying, but since this is a police forum, i registered to answer some of my questions from your point of view.
I thought you would know more about why police is spying on people randomly, but instead you're answering that you did not do any spying.
Again, don't take this personally. I'm just trying to get a better understanding here with my current level of English.

For one, 'police' don't spy on people. The 'spying' you're thinking of is state/government level. Men in black suits with sunglasses kinda thing.

Nope never have because there is something in this country called the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. Which by the way, most police at all levels take an oath to protect.

Breacher, i admire that you respect and follow the Bill of Rights and the Constitution laws of the U.S.. I really do.
I wish everyone would do that, but it's something that will never happen.
Some agencies break those rules everyday.
I don't know if you asked me if i was here in 9/11, but the answer is yes.
I have been in the twin towers myself (being a tourist and all) and i have camera footage from the top floor when i visited.
Magnificent sight.
When the planes hit, a friend of mine was working on the 10-th floor (he works in a restaurant), but ran away when he heard that a plane had hit the tower.
He's ok, but not a lot of people made it that day.
Xenif
08-17-2007, 05:19 PM
And just think, if the Patriot Act was in place prior to 9/11 it may not have happened, and your friend would have never been none the wiser. If we don't do our duty as a country to protect our citizens, then we allow the terrorists and anyone else to do whatever the hell they want, that includes kill our brothers in sisters in this beautiful and grand country.
speed

As much as i would have felt angry if i lost a family member or friend in that tower, i still don't think the answer is to randomly spy on the population.

How well I know. I was working in Georgia that day and we were all put on alert because of the attacks. If you were here then you should have some idea of what the government is trying to do with the stepped up security. And I personally don't care if it causes you or me inconvenience if it saves us from being attacked again.
By the way, have you ever been to Israel?

I heard it form a Youtube clip once. They told me not to tell at the end.
You don't know s**t about s**t speed. Give it up brother. If you or someone you knew was spyed on and you knew it, then 1. it wasn't the same people who spy on terrorists because they are ghosts (if you dont know what that means, too bad). 2. you or they had it coming because of something.
Don't like it, you know where the door is.

Guaranteed it is not random. If you have nothing to do with terrorism maybe someone that you came in contact with did or does but that doesn't make it random. Believe me the FBI or Homeland Security doesn't have the time to go thru the phone book or IRS records or what have you and say 'hey, let's spy on speed for fun'. Speed, you do realize how juvenile that sounds, don't you?
speed

Again without knowing me personally you are making assumptions about me knowing 's**t and all'.
Ok, it's understable.
But the reality is that syping is done randomly. You just don't know it yet or maybe don't want to believe it.
You have no idea that an agency in Netherlands records all cell phone calls in the world and forwards them to N.S.A.
But hey, i'm just the stupid guy.

2. your talking about American standards and privacy, you know jack s**t. Failed.
3. Your english went from perfect to sloppier and sloppier. Either your drinking or it's intentional. Failed.
4. You need to tell your boyfriend to stop filling your head with nonsense. There maybe an agency in Netherlands that records phone calls, but I can assure you it's not U.S. phone calls. U.S. doesn't want anyone else to touch our intel. Thats too wide open for leaks. Again, your full of it. Failed.
