I am new and I don't know if this is the right place to put this...but, I wanna know if you think I will lose my provisional?

I am 17years old, and I got my first ticket. I was coming home from a concert and I was really tired. The cop said I ran a red light, but it was still yellow when I past it. I couldn't stop without burning my tires. I have to show up at court in two weeks.

Do you think I will lose my provisional? It was my first time being pulled over and getting a ticket.

First question: where are we talking about?

Without knowing that no one has a chance to answer because everywhere it is different. I'm sure the court will take into consideration how long you've had your provisional first and foremost. If this is your first violation and you've had your provisional a while, one would assume they would take that into consideration, whereas if you just got it and got the violation, they also would take that into consideration.

Let us know the answer to the question. We may just have an officer from that area or at least that state that can speak intelligently about it.

I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

I've had my provisional since January 3.
Yeah, this is my first time.

Ooh.
I've heard many things about having a provisional.
Like, you could lose your provisional by getting a ticket over any reason.
Is that true?
Then, today I heard something about you get three chances.
Is that true? I don't think that is..because I've never heard anything like that before.

Provisional License

A provisional license allows you to drive without the supervision of another driver except during the hours of midnight and 5:00am. Unless a licensed driver that is 21 years old or older is in the vehicle, you may not have more than one other passenger under the age of 21 who is not a member of your immediate family in the vehicle.

not many concerts I worked at ended before midnight, sure you didn't violate this part to?

=] Thank you. I will call that number and ask.

Uhh, I don't remember the time he pulled me over.
Wouldn't he have tell me something that I am not aloud to be driving after 12?
It doesn't say anything on my ticket just that I ran a light.

Is it bad if I have to change my court date?
I have to change it because school starts.
