Temperature range here is 20 F in winter to 155 F in summer

High of 26 F, and chance of 6-8" of snow. It's my days off, so let it snow!! Besides, my jeep can get through anything I need it to. And if it can't, my truck can ;D

It would, but we don't wear vests even in winter. Only a very small handful of officers choose to wear a vest. Only one in my district.

:o :oDo you not have a lot of gun crime?? Have many officers been killed in your area from gunshots?? I won't leave my house in uniform without the vest on. I have the vest with me anytime I take the car anywhere. :o

Thanks to our firearm regulations, gun related crime is very low. In my time in the job, have only been to three firearm related incidents.
We are supplied ballistic vests which we carry in our vehicles and we kit up prior to attendding any threat situation. More commonly, we wear them as protection from edged weapons incidents.

Wow, talk about different socieities. I wouldn't dare go out without my vest. Must be nice in the summer to not wear a vest
