View Full Version : Reloaders?
Any ammo reloaders here?
Any tips or good resources for components?
I'm having a hell of time finding reasonably priced .40 bullets.

You could ask at The High Road (http://www.thehighroad.org). They even have a sub-forum for reloaders.

i find double tap to be good quality and fairly priced. plus, if you order over 1000 rounds, free shipping.

or look at midway. after shipping and stuff, they are usually one of the best deals, unless you know a site that gives discounts to leo.

I've been buyng from Midway. I have tried to buy stuff from National Bullet....(just an hour away from here) and so far out of three seperate attempts....have yet to have an order completed.
I was hoping to find a good source for hard cast (for my duty gun) and copper plated bullets. The last 1000 I got from midway was like 80$ or something.

you don't carry hollowpoints for your duty weapon? interesting. anyway, i guess i can't help you much then. double tap is good stuff but it's much more expensive than 80$/1000 rounds. that's pretty darn cheap.

are you sure it wasn't 250 rounds for the 80 bucks?

No....BULLETS (as opposed to ammo or cartridges) --copper plated .40 bullets were about $80/1000. I can load 1000 rounds for about $110-120. That is what a case of Winchester white box will cost from Midway less the shipping. (that's 500 rounds)
Yes....I carry Rangers on duty. NEVER carry reloads on duty.
I am looking for less expensive components to load practice ammo. On the range....the paper doesn't care if you shoot expensive stuff or cheap stuff.
